Rafael Nadal Reaches Australian Open Third Round
Rafael Nadal is into the third round of the Australian Open after a comfortable straight-sets win.
The Spaniard, seeded second, beat Mackenzie McDonald of the United States 6-4 6-4 7-5 in two hours and 28 minutes.
Nadal will now face either compatriot Pablo Carreño Busta or Tallon Griekspoor of the Netherlands in the third round.
Nadal is bidding to win a record-extending 23rd Grand Slam title, and his second Australian Open title.
